Why?

Why do we keep passing back (with the ball often ending up with our own keeper) when we attack?
Why do so many of our players look disinterested - Lukaku and Ziyech were more focussed on arguing throughout the game?
Why are so many players just not performing recently - CHO, Mount, Pulisic etc etc
Why is Tuchel giving nonsense reasons? - Tired players (or manager???)
It seems something is not quite right at the bridge internally?

You must admit, that Zyech looked truly excited ! when he fluffed his shot and scored last night ! he looks so miserable at the best of times, maybe he should be moved on.
Lukaku also does not seem to fit our jigsaw, the others either don't like him or he's an obnoxious twaat, or possibly both !

Exactly - can you imagine Drogba, Lampard, Terry etc reacting like that when they scored?
We need players who want to play for Chelsea - maybe Ziyech has already been told something?
Lukaku!!! Round peg in a square hole all day long.

I'm not surprised by yesterday's result or performance tbh.

A high energetic and well drilled Brighton team and we couldn't match their intensity all game. We look knackered as a team and TT seems to be out of ideas right now. Subs were very late yesterday.

Look half the team without our regular WBs. An ageing Azpi and crappy Alonso are not even close to the quality required. Mount has been anonymous for a while. Lukaku and Ziyech are probably still arguing

Recent PL form is a massive worry, far too many draws.

Absolutely - Brighton, Wolves, Burnley, Everton, all teams costing a fraction of ours but at least showing a bit of interest and organisation.
Why haven't got replacement/back-up wing backs this window if we are sticking with this system and knowing our current limitations?

We appear to be reluctant to buy a LB/LWB on a permanent basis, probably why we didn't go for Digne.

Struggling to recall from Emerson from Lyon, don't think he's the answer but anyone instead of Alonso. Can see this being dragged until the end of the window.

Think we've made enquiries for RWB, Dest from Barcelona but nothing happening there.

I still can't believe we let Emerson go in the summer, when our system relies on wing backs.
Dest might be a good option, but then again might be another Pulisic

Often taken for granted, cos it's too simplistic for footballs data age, but this run has demonstrated how critical good wing backs are to a team moulded towards a back 3 system. If you knew you wanted to play a back 3 setup, and you could handpick four players for a squad from scratch you knew you could rely on week in week out (not necessarily world class), you'd pick two LWB's and two RWB's.

It's like the DM for a 433, or the two CM's for a 442 vs. 3 man mids. Tensile strength players for respective formations & ours have been removed.

Digne & Hakimi would've been good right about now huh?
