United would hold Malcolm Glazer in the same esteem if they'd won as much as Chelsea over the last decade.

This.
And don't forget British, American white billionaires make their money honestly unlike those dodgy Arabs and Ruskies

This is what the PL deserves. We invited this in our pursuit of greed. Reap what you sow.

Oh come on...the guy can afford to write-off the 1.5bn debt he is owed...when you are in that privileged position, decisions made in the interests of 'on the pitch' and not the bank balance are easy. Its like Sandy winning £5m on the lottery and deciding not to accept the Winter Heating Allowance he is entitled to. An easy decision not made in the interests of his bank balance
----------------------------------------------------------
It's almost 15% of his net wealth, so the heating allowance analogy's a little off, it's not quite that insignificant. He has the capability to write it off but a cerebral businessmen, which the PL is infested with these days, just wouldn't.
The fact that once we managed to break even we've never really plutoed to making a consistent profit as a business & even suffered losses every few years reflects the intentions of Abramovich. Most owners wouldn't need that profit in the bank, they'd want it so they could claim dividends & all these different things - but owning a football club shouldn't be like that, it's not just a business! Possibly a bit melodramatic but you need to see a football club like a member of your family, anything they need if it's within the clubs (or your) financial capability just get it, and he did that over & over again

Farhad Moshiri's another great example of this mindset, the one you should have. Not granted it's not gone quite as well as Abramovich & Chelsea, but he's trying & if I was an Everton fan I'd appreciate that even if I thought he wasn't doing a good job. You need to think like that, there's no other way. IMO.

Roman wants his loan back? 🤔

Is that a snag? It seems like that would've been part of the deal all along. It's on the books as shareholder equity isn't it?
I might be wrong there, but I don't see how the club is worth 3-4bn unless you're including that.
