Chelsea arrogance

Chelsea have announced they are unable to sell tickets for their FA cup quarter final against Middlesbrough and have made a request for the game to be played behind closed doors, citing “sporting integrity" as the reasons behind it. (Sky Sports)

What a total nonsense request, and there are already reports it has been rejected out of hand by the FA.

Why on earth should Middlesbrough and their fans be punished for the corrupt actions of Chelsea’s owner?

As for sporting integrity, give me a facking break
This coming from the club that have unashamedly washed dirty money through the league for the last 20 years. Simply Unbelievable.

Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson told the Athletic

: "Chelsea and sporting integrity do not belong in the same sentence.

"Where is the intellect of Bruce Buck, the chairman of Chelsea, who has been an apologist for his owner, where the trophies won over 19 years have come from the corrupt money provided by Abramovich?" Gibson added.

"Where is the intellect of the chairman of Chelsea when it comes to playing his games at home in front of his season-ticket holders? Does he want to play all his away games at empty stadiums?

"Abramovich has been kicked out of football and Bruce Buck should be kicked out of football too."

This would be the same Steve Gibson currently trying his best to put Derby out of business?

This is the guy lecturing us on "sporting fairness".

Another hypocritical kaarnt. He can do one with the rest of them.

Another wow Chelsea fans’ deflective tactics are hitting new lows here. And a completely false statement too. Desperation.

Obviously Chelsea tried to play games with the authorities to make their point about the ticket ban being ridiculous

But obviously a PR disaster, eroding what little sympathy people had for Chelsea before over ticket sales.

Re Gibson, he also tried to buy success for Boro IIRC but had less cash and failed

Which part was false? Is Gibson not suing Derby, since 2019? Is that suit not putting off any potential buyers, leaving Derby struggling to avoid insolvency?

There was some talk that Gibson had finally settled, but I've seen nothing concrete about it since. And the lack of progress on the Derby sale suggests it may still be hanging over them.

But sure, "false statement". Muppet.

If your only problem with those quotes are with the person that said them then I'll just say them myself:

Chelsea and sporting integrity do not belong in the same sentence.

Where is the intellect of Bruce Buck, the chairman of Chelsea, who has been an apologist for his owner, where the trophies won over 19 years have come from the corrupt money provided by Abramovich?

Where is the intellect of the chairman of Chelsea when it comes to playing his games at home in front of his season-ticket holders? Does he want to play all his away games at empty stadiums?

They'll be even more bitter when we get a better owner than Levy and smash them at Three Point Lane as per next season

It is not the players that should be punished. They are just innocent professionals so shouldn't be kicked out of the competition. They are rightly punishing the fans though who have openly supported the corruption for going on 20 years. It is the fans that should suffer, not the players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LOL Innocent professionals who would be nowhere near Chelsea if not for being paid a fortune in blood money.

Spurs currently have 20 thieves on their books stealing from their owners in broad daylight, fancy accepting a hundred grand a week but performing like a team of out of work plumbers every week.
