I wonder if the fact that Bentancur and Kulusevski have hit the ground running so quickly for Spurs is partly because they joined together and knew each other very well from their time at Juventus, so could help each other to settle?
It’s also interesting to note that Reguilon joined from Real Madrid in the same window that we signed Gareth Bale and I don’t think Reguilon has hit the same heights as he did in his first season with us (when Bale was here).
Another double signing that springs to mind is Tevez and Mascherano at West Ham all those years ago. Again, they settled into the PL very quickly.
Listen, I know it’s hard enough identifying one player and signing him from a club, let a lone two at the same time! but am I right in thinking that this is a formula that seems to work?
Can anyone think of other examples (good or bad)?

We signed Daws and the tubby lad from Forest - we were actually more interested in the Tubby lad, but Daws worked out better.
We signed Rose and Lennon from Leeds. We signed Etherington and Simon Davis from the same club - can’t remember who.
Pompey bought a 3 man job lot from us once - Pamarot, Mendes and I can’t remember who else.
Did we not also buy back Kaboul and Defoe from Pompey at the same time.
We seem to love these sort of deals - Levy definitely likes a 2 for 1

Said to that bird that I just wanted to arrange to meet up so we could chat. If I'd known that it involved hours and hours of messaging back and forth first I wouldn't have bothered, and I just wanted to forget the conversation because it was doing my head in. She'd told me she was meeting up with a guy she'd been messaging with for 2 weeks. I told her he sounds perfect for her and if he stuck at the messaging for 2 weeks he deserves a medal.
Anyway she deleted me (I thought I'd already deleted her but apparently not).
