1. UEFA planning to offer two Champions League wildcards from 2024 onwards
2. Expected to be ratified at UEFA Exco meeting, May 10
3. Historical success in Europe would be key to gaining a wildcard
4. PL clubs fear it's 'introducing a form of European Super League by the back door'
5. 'Big Six' in England could all qualify for Champions League if they finish in top six places
6. Premier League anti-breakaway Owners Charter dropped off the agenda
7. Extra Champions League place via FA Cup hugely unpopular outside 'Big Six'
All of the Big Six to qualify for the Champions League?
That allows the possibility for the Big Six in England to all qualify for the Champions League each season, so long as they finish in the top six places in the Premier League.
The sixth-placed team will qualify so long as the fifth-placed team does, and so long as their coefficient is among the top two from all of England, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Yup. Ftr, I posted the 10-year ranking because Daz seemed to think there wasn't one, and because I cba to look up if they've finally gone for the 5 or 10 year one. I do seem to recall when I first heard about this new "legacy invitation" nonsense they attached it to the 10-year record.

The way the CL keeps expanding they'd be better off just scrapping the Europa and Conference League and having just them one European tournament.
Maybe with the lower coefficient teams / Lowest league finishing teams playing a pre qualifying tournament in August to get into the main thing as they already do.
If up to 6 PL teams get into the CL from 2024 then half of the league will get European Football. Absolutely pointless.

Then they could rebrand it with some imaginative name like the AmazonPrime European SuperLeague or some such.
Would be funny to see how Sky respond to that.

Arsenal and Spurs have no business being in the UCL if it's based off of history. We, on the other hand, have won it on multiple occasions and are the biggest name in football. It makes sense for us to quality under these terms if it changes.

Way too obvious.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's not wrong though. There's well over a dozen clubs that would deserve to get in ahead of them on a history basis.
Arsenal and Spurs should get a place in the same way Malmo or Club Brugges or Stade Reims should. In fact, scrap that, I think Stade Reims made 2 finals.

Soon it will be top 10 for CL and finals played in Dubai or Doha

Should do it by top 4 based on league position and nothing more. Maybe even the 4th place goes to the FA cup winner instead.
If you're dishing out places based on history then why not Forest or Villa over the likes of Arsenal.
