Local elections.

Who will you be voting for, if your area has a local election this week?

For me it’s Lib Dems, simply because the candidate is the only person who goes out of his way to help people in the local area. The Tory is of course nowhere to be seen.

Local elections are far more character based than General which is why I don't think too much can be read into them.

You know the sort of thing, people who normally vote for one of the big two at a GE vote for the nice Lib Dem fella who lives next door to your mum, mows her lawn and keeps an eye on her well being.

However if Labour take Wakefield back at the by election Boris may find that northern Tory mp's want a change as they would like to serve more than one term in office.

That's when I think he's toast!

Now I don't know whether to feel relieved or offended that (as a working man), no government official has literally tried to rape me.

Thought briefly about voting Labour instead of SNP. Had a candidate at the door and talked about pot holes/drainage issues in the area so thought why not.

Saw his leaflet, and all he was banging on about was indyref. Sarwar told voters to 'come home' to Labour (never has been my 'home', and Labour councillors are giving off the impression they can impose windfall taxes on oil companies (totally irrelevant to this election).

Will likely be SNP, maybe Green.

It's grim, isn't it. All of them banging on about their leaders and national policies. Virtually fck all about local stuff that matters to people. Voted an independent to fck them all buncha cvnts.

They rebranded themselves as ‘local conservatives’ on many ballot papers. As if that’ll fool people.

The Tories want you to vote on local issues. Surprise, surprise.

My local Council are Tories. The bin men are on strike.

The answer should be whoever has the best chance of ousting the Tories.

They have been in power for well over a decade and the country is now fvcked. They've done an absolutely appalling job in every single area, literally nothing is better and on top of that if they're not dodging taxes they're embezzling money.

We're an international embarrassment as a result.
