Questions for discussion on a quite day

1. Should Dier be returned to the England fold for the World Cup ?

Has had a very consistent season, certainly since Conte arrived, and I for one can't think of a bad game he has had since Conte took charge. Cutting through the stigma, are there that many English CB's that are playing better atm ?

2. Should Conte have at least been included in the Manager of the year nominations ?

Obviously we all know this award will go to one of two managers. Probably whichever one wins the title, but has Frank, Howe or Viera done more than Conte to turn their clubs around, particularly if we do get top 4 ?

3. If you could get ride of only two players before the start of next season, who would they be, bearing in mind we have to be thoughtful of the home grown player rules in Europe ?

1. No, I want him fit for us
2. No, Klopp will win it anyway, Conte will hopefully be high in the reckoning next year
3. Ndombele - we can’t give him away, and Winks - I’d rather give Alfie Devine or another youngster game time than wasting it on Winks

Homegrown is no excuse to keep Winks..we have White, Skipp, Devine, John all with higher ceilings in my view.

Unless we get a good fee for Sanchez I think he might have cemented himself as Romero back up

Sanchez has come in and kept two clean sheets in arguably our two most important games of the season, he's definitely not as bad as people make out

I agree with this.

Sanchez scored a couple of goals earlier in Conte's reign too.

Nowhere near as bad as some fans make out.

Not sure who said he should be starting in the CL?

He's a good squad player. He's been in a defence that's operated under four different managers. This season he's been reliable when he's come in. I'm not saying he's the messiah or that we should base our defence around him, but if we're getting rid of players, there are several others who should be going ahead of him.

Agree. Only the dopes would want Sanchez gone. He came in and did a great job in a couple of must win games.
