Can he sing 'Diamonds are Forever' though?

I like Bassey but I think he would need a little time before becoming the kind of first teamer we need. Wouldn’t be averse to signing him and de Vrij both rather than one expensive left sided centre back.

Hi crossing didn’t look up to much yesterday.

Honestly, if we’re looking to get a fullback from Rangers, I think Tavanier looks better (note: I know he’s older, and I don’t watch much SPL, so happy to be told I’m wrong)

Credit where it is due, he’s an awesome spot kicker taker

I think often we only find out how good SPL players are when they come to the PL. Not saying these players wouldn't be good signings but it's important the price is right.

Should be. He gets plenty practice.

He's good on the ball but prone to a bit of a brainfart. Looks much better at centre nack where he played in the Europa League final. Played left back in the Scottish Cup final and played well, getting forward etc but lacks a good ball into the box which you'd expect from a centre back.

His crossing into the box is good. He sent a terrific curling Cross past the hearts defence that diallo should have scored with.

Bassey is an absolute beast and has improved massively this season. He's prone to the occasional lapse in concentration but that'll improve with experience. Having seen some of the bombscares that steal a living in the EPL, he is comfortably better than most already. £20m has been mooted in recent days which would be a brilliant profit given we signed him on a free just a couple of years ago, but it's not an unreasonable figure.

Tavernier just keeps getting better and better. He might be a bit old for most EPL teams to move for him now, but he'd be fantastic for any attacking team.

Don't want to see either leave though.
