Most are very much at the end of their careers, certainlu in terms of earnings.

Johnson is one of the top 5 golfers in the world....he doens need to take money from a regime with an appalling human rights record. He'd earn that over the rest of his career and retire worth £200m.

I have no issue with the split from the PGA, but the source of the money backing this split is questionable.

Most of these guys play on the US tour. They allow people to walk into schools and shoot kids. The country has bombed Iraq for no reason. Look at the state of Afganistan now.

You are likely right though, he'd get more abuse for that stance than this (but not from me).

There is always a grey area, but in certain instances (like anything Saudi backed) it is pretty clear cut.

Surely the difference is this Saudi league is being paid for directly by the Saudi government?

If it was some random bloke or organisation that decided to hold a golf league in Saudi Arabia then the uproar wouldn't be as big.
