Sancho on the right

Okay, it was just a friendly against Liverpool’s reserves but it was great to see Sancho look far more comfortable on the right side. He had a free role where he could roam and popped up on the left to score the goal but before and directly after he was mainly playing on the right side and tormented whoever the Liverpool left back was.

He’s a very intelligent player who has the ability to cause chaos when running at players and I really hope that we finally get a season of him playing where we all assumed he would be signed for. Is it really that hard to play Rashford on the left and Sancho on the right? For some reason Ole and Ralf were allergic to the idea.

I thought he did well from there and provides us with the best balance overall considering our options. It was also great to see us commit men into the box as well.

On a different note it's also great to see this back - https://twitter.com/AlternativeMUFC/status/1547128708389011456?s=20&t=P6pfO1b4QxYG0aHvLJ3DtQ

"Maybe as an impact sub he'd work but no chance he'd fancy that"

If no one comes in for him this summer he might not have any other choice. We'll have him for 1 more season and surely EtH can use him however he likes knowing he'll be gone in a year.

Sancho running at players usually resulted in us losing possession last season, he can’t really beat a full back.

Where he does seem to flourish is fast moving attacks with clever movement and touches. I think he will be a huge improvement this season under EtH.

Ronaldo will start if he stays. Make no doubt about that. Glazers won’t allow someone on 500k a week be benched for a poor player like martial

Even our owners allowed the manager to leave out both Ozil and Aubameyang while they were on 300k per week which is more of a burden on us than 500k is on United.

Ronaldo would likely kick up a huge stink at being an impact sub but I can't see the Glazers intervening if results on the pitch improve without him

Can't really see how Ronaldo fits in the sort of side ETH will want to play

He's your best CF but that doesn't mean the team will be better with him in it. Maybe as an impact sub he'd work but no chance he'd fancy that

I’m amazed Scholay and UWW haven’t already condemned you.

Ole and Ralf managed like the right hand side of the pitch didn’t exist, we looked so much more balanced and of course attacking both flanks opens up more spaces in the middle and give the midfield and defence more out balls.

Simple stuff but from first viewing it seems we have a coach who at least has a clue how to set up a team like Klopp or Pep and we haven’t had one in a long time.

It’s baffling that these coaches thought it was a good idea to play Rashford on the right. Maybe Sancho is better on the left but he’s far better on the right than Rashford. Rashford has rarely ever played well on the right.
