This guy is fast becoming (if he's not already) a cult hero for Spurs fans.
I'm not saying that he's the greatest defender the world has ever seen. He has his faults. But I think it's his "no nonsense", "take no prisoners" approach that endears him to the fans. He's a warrior and we certainly have lacked those over the years - particularly in defence.
Have you seen the footage from yesterday when he roars right in Reece James's face just after Kane's equaliser? I think he did something similar to Harry Maguire last season and got a lot of stick for it. It's pure passion on his part and he, quite rightly, regards the opposition as the enemy!
I just love the guy and he's my favourite Spurs player at the moment. I just hope someone has a word in his ear and reminds him that there are cameras absolutely everywhere, so he needs to temper some of his antics (such as yanking an opposition player's hair).......do that in the tunnel!!

Yeh no surprise the media have completely overlooked Cucarella standing on Romero's knee when he could quite easily avoided it, as well as Kulu being fouled in the build up to their second goal.

It is so bizarre that the human race loves a proper cant. You guys should be calling him out on it so we can eliminate cants from the game, not be supporting it.

Tbh if I wanted to watch people being ard (i don't) I'd watch mma or a street fight compilation on YouTube, not a little fella pulling an even littler fella's hair. Stick to job, ie helping your team to get a result in a football game.

I agree that he has room for improvement (as do all our players), but there's a steelyness about him that Spurs players have lacked for decades. Give me a mean no nonsene Romero over a model professional such as Davies anytime!
