HIBS V RANGERS

Into these spoonburners today.
Early kick offs always give me the fear but realistically we’ve won at Easter road against far better teams than this.

Expect Alfie to get some minutes

I’ll go 0-2

‘Expect Alfie to get some minutes’

A prediction from the OP that was exceptionally accurate.

So Keiran Trippier was shown a red card for doing exactly what John Lundstram did yesterday, taking one for the team.....could even be argued that Trippiers challenge was worse than Lundstrams

Guess what ..it goes to VAR, the ref looks at it again on the monitor, rescinds the red and shows a yellow instead

When we get VAR up here, be lucky if that khunt Collum can find the bloody monitor!

My predictions for this season are unfortunately proving to be too accurate.

Thought both teams would be a step above, Rangers would falter more and one of the biggest chance either OF team had of dropping points would be red card related. And so it has already come to pass.

I am just glad it was Hibs where there is at least an outside chance Celtic might slip up rather than a st Mirren or a Motherwell.

And I know none of that is particularly revolutionary but the rest are so poor that red cards are going to be potentially critical to a shock occuring.

Collum takes full blame for the first one. I actually think that type of foul should be a red card - i hate it when teams do it against us. But it just isnt a red card under the current rules.

Morelos takes the blame for us dropping two points. With no-one up top we had no choice but to drop 25 yards from goal and defend. I said I would take a point as soon as fatface went off. Its a bit of a riddy for me that Hibs only took a point out of that.

I have never been a fanboy - I said a couple of years ago we should have cut our losses with Morelos and moved on. I am very much back to that place with him now. Unfit, overweight and ill-disciplined - a waste of time.

I think it will be interesting to see what the club do with him now we are in a slightly different position financially. SG had no real choice but to back him and try and get the most out of him.

Gio might take a different attitude.

If anyone is daft enough to give us £5m for him then I would take it and run.

Got a bad habit of reds when he comes off the bench and when's he not fit enough to impact games positively he starts his carry on.

A better keeper and we get out of there with 3 points.

I do think we got what we deserved in the end.

I think 9 vs 11 away at Easter Rd for 20 minutes is always going to be very very difficult.

10 vs 11 you at least have an out ball.

Saw their manager trying to take the credit for changing the game. that guy is a clown. We were 2-1 and pressing for the third.

You can argue all day whether Lundstram actually needed to do what he did but at the end of the day its a yellow card. No different to the Hibs boy in the first half.

It changed the game in that it helped wind up Morelos even more. But that is his fault no-one elses.

Given what happened a draw is a decent result. Its just sickening that we looked to be well on track for the win until Willie Collum decided to start making up rules.

but you agree with his decision to give you a penalty because your striker fell over when his side got touched?

Not necessarily. Theres a difference between what I think will be given in todays game and what I think really should be given.

It doesnt surprise me it was given. Do I think something like that should be a penalty - not really.

It was very soft but I would fully expect it to be given against us if say Goldson had done it to Boyle and he reacted the same way. I am sure pundits like Walker and Stewart would be calling it 'clever play' by Boyle.
