Expectations

Ten Hag has done well to win so many games with the worst forwards in the clubs history. Rashford should score 20 goals a season with the chances he gets but he is a bit like Welbeck in front of goal, it is a miracle if he scores. I actually lost count how many big chances he missed in the Europa League game and then today he jumps too early and the ball hits him on the wrong side of the head. Should be fined his wages this week for terrible finishing.

People say Rangnick was terrible but at one stage Man Utd had like an XG of 20 and goals scored of like 4 and XG against 4 and goals conceded of 8. You can put Guardiola in charge but Man City 100 points side would have finished on like 60 points with that level of goalkeeping and finishing.

I actually knew our strikers were terrible. Man Utd should have finished on around 74 points last season but terrible VAR goalkeeping and strikers cost us so many points. I given up on this season. I thought Atkinson and Dean leaving would mean more fair refs but it seems not.

I noticed a pattern last 3-4 years whenever Man Utd are on a roll the ref screws us over. Remember when we lost to Sheffield United at home. They should have lost the game but the ref gave them the win. The ref actually was actually there one man team and Sheffied United didn’t do anything all game and won due to refs shocking calls.

I think the Europa League record for chances missed are all held by Man Utd. 16/17 19/20 and 20/21 season and no side has come close to any of the numbers Man Utd registered in those campaigns. In fact most clubs who win the Europa League don’t create as many chances as we missed in those seasons.

Also on course to miss the most in 22/23.

Also Ten Hag himself said this is a very good squad.

His saying that isn’t really all that relevant. We bought six players this summer to improve the squad, which indicates that he knew it needed, and still needs, work. And we didn’t even get his main target.

So he's added 6 new players (one of which a serial winner) to a squad he said is very good and there's still every excuse under the sun for him?

Since ja began I've put a pound in a jar every time hafi explained that United should be winning the league based on some random and possibly fake stats.
