After the first round of matches finalised yesterday, who (if anyone) has caught your eye so far?
I have to say I was hugely impressed with young Mohammed Kudus of Ghana/Ajax yesterday against Portugal. I thought he along with Partey were the standout players of the match. Kudus bagged himself an assist, and showed wonderful footwork and moments of real quality throughout the game against some of the toughest opposition in the tournament. He's got 10 goals this season so far for Ajax, plays either up front or from midfield and has worked with ETH before... You heard it here first! Looks a real talent.
Bellingham had a terrific game against an out of sorts Iran side, but it was great to see him continue his Dortmund form into the WC or England and a headed goal getting into the box from midfield was a real throw back to a Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard or younger Roy Keane-style midfielder's goal. Obviously not a left-field choice to a UK audience but he looks superb.
Over to you... Who has caught your eye so far?
Any World Cup gems so far?

Seeing as this thread is a barely-concealed "who should be sign" thread, are their any RB's to watch out for over the next couple of weeks?
We've already all agreed that Mohammed Kudus will be our next CF signing in January. Who's coming in to compete with Dalot?

Brilliant goal from Cody Gakpo. That’s a striker’s header in the first game and an explosive finish on his weaker foot just now. Playing through the middle for Holland as well…

Gavi is going to be some player
I think you’ll start to see some up and coming stars in the 3rd round of group games when teams that have already qualified rotate their squads around

Fmr. academy product Mu-si-ala is the only right answer. Every other answer is wrong.

Hopefully! Any players you think we should be watching out for that haven’t yet featured much if at all?
I didn’t catch the Spain game but yes Gavi sounds like a talent.

Now he's fit again I'd expect a big money move to a mid table Premiership team.
