Only seen a couple of cameos from the Scottish kid since he came to Liverpool but he has shown he has some crazy potential. The kid oozes confidence and seems so fearless and direct.
Against Milan today in the friendly he really stood out a mile. Sure it's just a training exercise but for a 17 year old to make that kind of impression in 10 minutes can only continue to mount pressure on Klopp to reward him with some 1st team minutes.
No rush of course but at what point do you say the kid has to get some action, even if it's just 10 minutes here and there, as a reward.
Bar injury he def looks like he will be the best Scottish attacker in a long time! Apparently some Italian journos were asking their English counterparts "who is he?!?"
Liverpool seem to have got him at a steal, did he stand out massively in Scotland as well, at youth level? I know plenty can happen to spoil his promise but the fee seems a joke. Rare I see a player and immediately think the kids special but he def seems it.
600k?!?

I don't care about the academy thing. Only a Utd fan is obsessed whether he is from the academy.
His decisions making is what stood out for me against Lyon and Milan. He is a much better talent than Elliott.

Totally different players tbf. He's more dynamic and a direct winger, where as harvey is a mf player with different attributes. Doak catches the eye more for sure but Elliott is still unbelievable for his age.

yh for his age his decision making, end product seems high. also hes very positive whenever he gets the ball which is refreshing. the rb looks promising too Ramsay.

totally, only reason you'd say that is if you were trying to compare them as wingers. Harvey is a baller and just have to look at what hes done at a young age already. 7 goals and 11 assists in 30 games for blackburn at 17 in the champs a goal involvement ever 150 mins.

Yes but I’m saying he’s not one of Liverpool’s academy players on the production line like the ones mentioned. I suspect that’s a compensation fee then as he didn’t sign a pro contract.

Bingo, we got there!
Also cross-border fees are different to within country fees and Scottish clubs have benefited in return with the likes of Moussa Dembele for a steal.

Doak is very young still. Have to give him time.
Dunno why people feel the need to compare, every kid is different

My lad played with Doaky at Celtic and tipped him from the day he was brought up a couple of years to play his age group.

This is what I wanted to know. Rare I straight away get blown away by a kid but he stands out. I did think there's no way he went un noticed at Celtic and I'm guessing your boy has seen plenty at the club. Is he the best talent he's trained with at Celtic?
Guessing as he hadn't signed pro terms there wasn't a bidding war but does seem a bit weird he went for 600k. Must've had plenty of teams all over him.
Gordon, elliott, carvalho and clark all look quality but Doak just seems a bit special. Time will tell.

His best mate at Celtic was Hickey who's doing OK. My lad trained with loads of players who are ahead of Doak at the moment, who knows in future but it is looking good it seems?
