Laturo Martinez and KDB have to be the biggest flops. The latter was a ghost and the former just couldn't finish. Argentina played worse when he came on. People's hate for Ronaldo cloud their judgement on this.

Denmark have to be the biggest flop. Whole thee are shouts for others, I don't think anyone thought Denmark will do this badly. Especially with all thr halabaloo about their kit. They really didn't want to be in Qatar it seems.

Best player is out of Mbappe and Messi. Can't decide.

Best Young player could go to the Moroccan lad as well as others mentioned.

Dutch goal against the US has to be the best.

Messi's assist has been mentioned already.

Moroccan fans have to be up there.

Best moments for me is seeing all the support for Palestine (BBC conveniently left all that out) and the treatment of the Israeli press.

Best assist: Thiago Silva (?) for Richarlison v Korea (didn’t want to go with Messi again!) - fine team goal all round
Best moment: Mbappe’s equaliser in the final, Weghorst’s equaliser against Argentina, or the whole conclusion to Japan’s group

Biggest flop: (player) De Bruyne/Bale
Funniest moment: Loads of memes, but I’ll go with heartwarming instead of funny - Saudi fans dancing to Freed From Desire after beating Argentina
