Thoughts from the non-cult.

Does anyone have thoughts on A Underwood's suggestion about the introduction of B teams? It could be the basis for a solution for the development of players, rather that the sterile moaning from some quarters.

Nothing wrong with the cult .....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you say so. So you acknowledge there is a cult operating to the detriment of non-members of the cult. Have you looked up the definition of a cult in a dictionary Constructing an argument, or a discussion seems to be beyond you? The article that quoted A Underwood did not offer a definite solution, it asked for a debate on the subject. Which is all that a rational person can ask for.
Have you read the article? I suggest you do. I have no definite solution, which is why I asked for a considered informed response, which is something I am still waiting for from some members of the cult. I question what the members of the cult want, they only can criticise without suggesting a solution. They seem to want to get rid of the owners and Orta, but offer no alternative.

My brief response on reflection should have contained capital letters .... as in The Cult. It was an attempt at lightening the mood... oh dear, that worked well.

As for cults, as in what you refer to, I tend to believe there's some that can be a bit dismissive of other opinions, i think there's truth in that. My take is that this site is for opinion and debate. If someone offers an opinion based on a hunch more than fact/evidence - personally i don't give 2 hoots, it's there view.

The way some talk/type you'd think they're Pep, Jurgen, Jesse ...... not someone bashing out opinions on a keyboard. That tends to make me chuckle more than irate these days - perhaps i've finally mellowed in my increasing years. Maybe it's the Kraken rum .... ?

As for the original point. I'm not keen on change, I often find it can be to the detriment of the original concept. B sides, U21's i'm not sure are the issue. For me the bigger issue/point is the massively out of kilter imbalance in finances around football in this country - most countries. Needs to be greater flow of funds down through the leagues. But hey, i'm a luddite and proud.

"It is the most broadcasted league in the world. How many people have you consulted to come to your unbiased opinion of what millions of Germans think of the system?"

Do you mean about the most watched league?..

The Premier league!..

Or do you mean B teams not being very liked!..

I follow 2 clubs, Leeds sinse the age off about 5, I'm now a pensioner!..

And I'm a season ticket holder by VFL Osnabrück, I go to all their home games and a hell off a lot off their away games and talk to people all the time, believe me when I say B teams are not very liked, because fans outside off their's see them as amatures and a way for the bigger clubs to bring their players through!..

There are teams outside the league wanting to come in but cant because top tewams have 2 teams, meaning their way is being blocked!..

There are only 56 league teams in Germany though. England has 92. I doubt B-teams would replace any of the 92, so that number will expand, and more than likely open up even more spaces for teams outside the EFL.

I am not sure how many watch the Chinese league given the population of China.
I remember buying some fast food outside Osanbruck station back in the eighties, I doubt it is still there. I remember staying in a posh hotel outside Munster railway station, the one with the adult cinema in the basement. Quite a culture shock for a Leeds-born bloke on his first trip to Germany.

We do live in strange times, I just read what Andrew Bridgen has tweeted. It is all right to have opinions, but they should have some connection to the facts. It seems that nowadays you can say anything along as it is an opinion. I have only recently joined this board and I resent being told I have multiple accounts, by individuals who have no evidence. If they are pulled, it is only a joke.

Maybe it would make more sense to have feeder clubs that are part owned by the boards of big clubs. That way the lower league side has ready made players they can looks at and the big club benefits from sending out the players to gain experience. I think some do this already with clubs in Europe. Huddersfield or Bradford could be our feeder club haha

There is nothing wrong with having an opinion, it is when people think they have an unquestioned right to the facts. I can see the humour in some Huddersfield and Bradford supporters wearing masks and cheering Leeds loan players on.
