Uefa is to change its Financial Fair Play rules in response to Chelsea's recent trend of signing players on long-term contracts.
Why is it certain teams, well the two financially doped sides of the 21st century think they can try to circumnavigate the FFP rules. For far to long one or two clubs have put two fingers up to the authorities and ridden rough shod over the FFP rules to gain an unfair advantage over the rest of the teams in the Prem. We know the culprits, but they continually get away with dodgy deals, bending the rules to suit their agenda.
Looks like UEFA have finally cottoned onto Chelsea giving ridiculously long contracts to players. Five year contracts at most, which I thought was actually the rule anyway. So how Chelsea have been allowed to get around the rules, even as they stand now, is anyone`s business.
UEFA need to start clamping down on dodgy sponsorship deals now.
Time to clean up the Prem. No more shady deals to benefit the few over the many.
Better late than never

I'm jealous as a rival fan cos it ISN'T against the rules and we'll within their budget. Just annoying FSG or ENIC don't hae the granules to spend cash the same way. Even 50% of that outlay and Spurs/Liverpool fans would think they're dreaming. None of us would be complaining if our owners had done it. Zero
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So everything Chelsea have done is above board? Strange UEFA brought this new rule in then.
Chelsea have been sussed. They are bending the rules.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My opinion is, cos they've not broken any rules, it's more to stop other teams copying what is a risky model. Chelsea have huge revenues, plenty of players they could sell and a billionaire owner.
Outside the PL it'd almost certainly be a recipe for disaster, bar the elite clubs.

Sandy, 688 million profit, double more than any so called big six should make it simpler to understand!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Financial analysts Vysyble found Chelsea set a new record for losses in a single season since its summary work on the Premier League began in 2009 – a staggering £205.71million. The losses in the English top flight in 2020/21 came despite combined revenue of £4.88bn – £3.34bn of which was made up of broadcast income.
Want to correct your figures? You might be mixing revenue up with profits🤔

All you've got is arguing what we've been doing isn't in the spirit of what FFP is supposed to be about, but football is a sport where diving is considered an art form ffs
If we were doing anything in breach we've have been fined and/or handed a points deduction. So yes, all above board

I have no idea why Sandy is always harping on the two "financially doped" clubs, as he calls them?
Every one can point a finger at everyone else over something they think is wrong.
Just give that one a rest, Sandy.
Get on with whats going on with Spurs in the transfer market....... like this wonderful Danjuma guy that Levy has just done a cheap loan deal on!

Profit, FFS you had to do a quick fire sale of the club. The club were basically sold to save them.
