Sheriff was Sir Alan Knight on BBC606 and was a proud Portsmouth fan. Don’t recall him ever mentioning Chelsea unless Pompey were playing them.

Have to consider when he gets called out for this... he deletes relevant comments showing him up and closing the discussion.
Refusing to accept responsibility for his different comments on multiples occasions defines his MO.
I rather doubt , regardless of how we feel about him, that his own self respect is non existant.
