No direction, No plan

There is so much uncertainty surrounding Spurs at the moment, it just feels like everything is just drifting along. This has to affect the players and filter onto the pitch.

Conte`s situation is uncertain, will he stay or will he go, the future of top players is uncertain also. It is as if everybody is waiting to see where we end up this season, and there is no long term strategy.

None of this is good, results are bound to suffer and inconsistent performances are all too common, it feels like not everybody is pulling in the same direction 100% of the time.

Is there a plan, if so what is it?

This club just goes around in circles, blundering from one shiete show to the next, managers come and go, players come and go, but the owners remain.

This club is a comedy show the way it is run, flip flopping between managerial philosophies and failing to match the ambitions of elite managers and players alike.

The whole club is just so meh and uninspiring under these owners.

The club has not had a strategy since Poch left - Kane hides a multitude of sins for us
----------------------------------------------------------------------

A strategy that had Spurs in 13th place, knocked out of the CL by a record score, knocked out of the League Cup by 4th tier Colchester, without an away Prem win for months.

Some strategy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes that final 3 months of Poch’s tenure is where we should focus. Not challenging for the title on a shoe string or making the CL final after Baldy refused to buy a single player.

The strategy was bringing through young players and developing them. Playing a high press that smothered our opponents, whilst pushing our full backs so high up they were essentially wingers.

Stop being a pr1ick
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It wasn't just the final three months though. Poch was doing very little for months before. Plus he wasted an astonishing amount of money on absolute dud signings. But, but, but it was nothing to do with Poch.

I think it is not a good look Sandy, to try to tarnish a manager that took us from being 5th/6th to a cert top 4 outfit, and outfit that had people glowing on our play from these shores to Europe and far beyond.
That Ajax semi final game is still being talked about to this day.
That's more than any manager before or since.

Morespurs, Spurs were never a cert top four under Poch, they scrambled over the line a couple of times. Any other manager with that set of players would have done the same, and probably more.

Nothing to do with tarnishing him. I say it as I see it. He was very poor for the last season or two, some of the results were horrible. I liked Poch for the first three years of his Spurs reign, but I never truely believed he was top notch, and I don`t now either. He got very lucky that he in the main inherited a very talented squad of players. I think any manager Spurs had five or six years ago would have done exactly the same and maybe even better than Poch.

Scrambled over the line?

2nd on 86 points - enough to win you the league most years.

You might not like him Sandy, for reasons I'll never quite understand, but don't erase his achievements. It makes you like cheap and nasty if anything.

Real Spurs fans know how great he was.

So great that three Prem jobs have been up for grabs last three months, and never even been mentioned to take over at any of Everton, Leeds or Southampton.

He is an average manager that struck lucky at Spurs.

Great managers win trophies. Even Raneiri knew how to get Leicester over the line with a team that was vastly inferior to the team Poch inherited.

I have seen his name linked with a few clubs this year including the Newcastle & Everton jobs, maybe he is waiting to see what happens with Conte. Who knows maybe DL has already had a conversation with him.
