Never a great time to play City, but with our central defensive crisis and them beating Arsenal 3-1 they’ll be up for pumping us all over again.
They do have Leipzig away next week and we are at home, so let’s hope they chill out a bit.
Last Game Overview:
The first half was awful. The second half was better, but they still seemed to hit the post / bar a lot.
The Good: Felipe and Shelvey debuts.
The Bad: the loss of two more CBs.
The Ugly: My bet looking increasingly unlikely, despite the Sixers crawling up the table.
Special Mention: the support and keeping it at 2-0.
Overall Record:
Currently we stand at W33 D27 L41
They’ve lost 3 times this year. Stranger things have happened.
Injuries / Signings:
Awoniyi, Boly, Henderson, Kouyate, Lingard, McKenna, Niakhate and Yates remain injured.
Let’s hope Niakhate returns soon.
Your Opposition Story:
Only met one City fan.
Form:
Forest Home Form - W4 D2 L0 GF8 GA3
City Away Form - W4 D0 L2 GF9 GA5
Forest are 1.5 PPG over the last ten games. Fulham are 1.9. It doesn’t matter…nil points coming up.
Team:
Navas
Aurier Felipe Worrall Lodi
Freuler Mangala Shelvey
MGW Surridge Johnson
Please don’t start Wood (Stevie)! Even Dennis looked miles better!!!
Prediction:
A 3-0 thrashing. Kept at 3 as they rest players and bring on their kids.
COYRs.

Wow, how good are City. We defended brilliantly, stayed in the game as long as we could and eventually got a chance, which we took. I remember looking at my watch at 15.20 and couldn’t believe only twenty minutes had gone, City were that dominant. We managed to break out on occasion, usually through Johnno but actually threatened very little. Felipe was absolutely immense, i wouldn’t say he had Haaland in his pocket by any means but handled him as well as any centre half has managed all season. It was definitely backs to the wall defending, but at no point did we panic, and like SC said stay in the game and when you get your chance make sure you take it, Wood did that superbly, i expected VAR to find something to deny us, but even VAR couldn’t save City this time. I’m not saying we deserved our point, for the threat we offered, but for the defensive display we showed by all eleven, plus subs. At the end it felt more like a win, and was certainly celebrated that way by the fans, who were fantastic throughout. It actually shows how far we have come, to at least compete with the likes of City, in a relatively short period of time. Although we are still by no means safe from relegation, displays like this give so much confidence to the fans and the players. We have to back up this with at least a point at West Han next week, just to show it was no fluke. Great time to be a Forest fan, feels almost surreal at the moment, long may it last. COYR’s.
