Sheikh Bin Hamad Al Thani welcome to OT

Firstly, let me just state I don’t care one iota about what you moral idiots have to say. You can go discuss that gibberish in another article.

What I want to concentrate on is the this statement from Sheikh Al Thani:

The bid plans to return the club to its former glories both on and off the pitch, and – above all – will seek to place the fans at the heart of Manchester United Football Club once more.
‘The bid will be completely debt free via Sheikh Jassim’s Nine Two Foundation, which will look to invest in the football teams, the training centre, the stadium and wider infrastructure, the fan experience and the communities the club supports.
‘The vision of the bid is for Manchester United Football Club to be renowned for footballing excellence, and regarded as the greatest football club in the world.’

This is a man that means serious business and we all know he is not waffling. New stadium, elite world class facilities, a revamp youth structure, and most importantly, our club bloody debt free!

I am praying night and day that the Glazers do the right thing and sell to the Qatari man. My word the future is exciting.

Where do you see us in 5 years time with this ownership?

The OPs first two lines said anyone disagreeing with him was a moral idiot talking gibberish.
He can only expect a bumpy ride after that.

Fans can choose whatever they like, I'm not gonna judge anyone as I totally understand why people would still want to support United, personally I'm gonna stop if they are bought by Qatar.

Went to my local no league team yesterday, had a great time. You can take your own beers or buy them in the ground for £4 a pint, 5 goals, 2 pens, 1 saved the other a last minute winner from a dubious handball, 1 red card, a brawl and all for £8.

What I find sad with all this money pumped into the game is that money doesn't even make football better. All it does is take the soul out of the game and make it less affordable for your average fan.

Agree with this 100%.

People will have to make their own decisions, and as you say, it isn’t for anyone to judge anybody else’s; but I’ll be done too.

If you're going to scrutinize the Qatari bid and the man fronting the bid, it's only fair you do the same for Sir Jim's bid. This is a man who is a Chelsea season ticket holder and admits to split loyalties, while his company, Ineos, has been accused of greenwashing and has made huge profits as a result of soaring energy prices that has left many people in the UK struggling. Not to mention, the money for the bid is being borrowed from JP Morgan, an organisation not exactly known for its morals and also plans to bankroll the European Super League. But thats all fine, Sir Jims a local lad

Interesting comment I saw earlier.

Just another state owned plaything, might win the league and the CL, completely hollow and worth no consideration given it’ll almost entirely due to our state owners throwing loads of money around. Fack it.

Only I never said this. I didn’t say anything about disagreement, my statement was more to do with I don’t want to discuss this tired old debate any further. You can’t give a bumpy ride to a new born baby. Bumpy ride?? By idiots that can’t even comprehend simple business like revenue, profit and loss 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Absolutely both parties should be scrutinised.

I don’t think that anyone on here has painted Ratcliffe as any kind of a saint though, have they? The man is a multibillionaire and his company is a giant multinational chemicals corporation. And there are no morally robust multibillionaires or ethically-run giant multinational corporations in my mind. Literally none of which I am aware.

However, personally, I don’t see any moral equivalence between the frightening abuses of the Qatari dictatorship and the personal decisions and acts Ratcliffe or those of Ineos. As far as I’m aware, they aren’t involved in torture, extrajudicial killings, silencing of journalists and human rights campaigners, corporal punishment of homosexxuals, brutal acts of capital punishment, or the widespread oppression of women.

We all have to make our own minds up about that though.

We do keep hearing that the Glazers made plenty of money available before anyway, so transfer wise it might not make that much difference, maybe one extra big signing a year as well as the smaller ones?

If that were the case, but they spent billions on the stadium and other areas of the club, would the CL or PL wins feel hollow?

I know what you mean, if we signed Mbappe, Kane, £200m worth of midfielders and full backs in one window and won it all next year, it wouldn’t feel like a real achievement.

Revenue, profit and loss.
You have a small business via the Internet.
You provide an app many want
.
Your turnover is one million pounds, profit is £995000.

Your neighbour sells cars. He to makes a happy profit of £995000 and turns over 36 million pounds to do it. Profit of 10% per vehicle plus overheads.

Entirely made up figures to show the difference between revenue and profit and loss.
