Spurs - Graveyard for Managers?

We are obviously the graveyard club for strikers but are Spurs the graveyard club for managers?

Another top manager that usually wins everywhere he goes like Mourinho did fails to win a trophy with them. They’ve had some quality manager the last 15 years (or 32 years since a major trophy) and nobody can break the hoodoo

Will it ever be broken? Who will break it?

Scott Parker next?

Levy is the grim reaper for successful managers

Pep/Klopp/Ancellotti even Fergie - none of them can be considered greats as they never tried the ultimate test of working under Dan the Khunt Levy

I get they’ve spent money for Conte but I’m sorry, expecting him to do anything of note with CBs like Dier, Davies, Sanchez etc and then Lloris in goal who might as well be retired is crazy.

I do get that he’s stubborn as fk and inflexible though tbf, but when some Spurs fans get annoyed that he plays low block because they have bad defenders I’m like what do you expect lol those CBs would look even worse if they were asked to play front foot football as they would be completely exposed constantly.

Also think there’s a clear difference in Conte himself between this season and last. Part of it is surely down to his health issues but I also think the motivation has been drained out of him by Levy.

Making signings Conte doesn’t want, taking forever to agree the deal for Porro etc, I think he just can’t be ar’sed with Levy’s nonsense anymore and luckily for Levy it has worked out perfectly because the fans have mostly ended up blaming Conte because they can see his clear disinterest. For me that disinterest only came about in the first place because of Levy though.

The one constant in Spurs’ 23 year period with one trophy win is having Levy at the top. Everything else filters down from him, and he’s made it clear time and again all he wants is top 4. Hence Conte lost interest in pushing them on.

Absolutely spot on assessment.

All summer Conte asked for Bastoni but Levy wouldn’t pay up so we instead end up with Lenglet on loan - a guy who has often been displaced by Ben Davies.

It’s madness, Conte is known for his defensive football yet we don’t buy him any CB’s but did buy a RWB he didn’t want.

Conte though is clearly not bothered anymore so he has to go, but the next appointment is meaningless whilst Levy is here as the only thing he can be relied upon for is getting it wrong.

The one that breaks the duck will be the one that manages under new owners.

Speak for yourself...It's apparent to all that we Blues have been blessed with the greatest owners ever...who are fully committed to success of the club.

Nah, you'll stumble onto someone one day who will win something (more than a League Cup) under Levy & ENIC.

Thing is, in the big picture, their ownership of Spurs has been a success - enhancing the clubs profile with trophies is the only area where they've failed tbh. You're a stable European club now, you could've done FAR worse than that.
