Looking at results today, they didn’t go well for us. But worse than that, it looks to me like the other teams around us are starting to improve. They are able to defend and fight for points. They can score goals more easily than us and are just generally in games for longer.
Can you imagine us beating wolves 4-2 away? Or getting a 2-2 draw at Chelsea? No chance at the moment. I can’t see us getting a single point from Leeds and Villa away because we will conceded at least two goals in each game.
I think we need certain players back. We have to have Yates in the team. I think we need Awoniyi back in the team as he can hold it up and seems to improve us. The defence I don’t think we can do much about. The midfield won’t really improve. We have some good players but they are not players for a relegation fight.
We just have to hope we can find a result, find some form and mock a few wins. No shame in going down anyway and we have given it a good go. Hopefully there are a few more twists left yet.

I think defensively we’re fine. Yes, I know Niakhate gave away the penalty, but he grew into the game.
The midfield is our biggest issue. It’s just not competitive enough. Shelvey isn’t fit. Mangala doesn’t look ready. Kouyate still injured. Yates just coming back from injury…and Danilo?
MGW wasn’t on it yesterday. We left it far too late to put on Scarpa. Lingard is focussing on day drinking and acting classes,
Up front? Ayew has no pace, no touch and has zero attributes to hold up hoof balls against a 6 foot 6 defender. Wood is completely unsuited to our game. Awoniyi isn’t back yet. Johnson wasn’t 💯 yesterday. Dennis did alright, but clearly isn’t happy.
Where has Navas’s distribution gone? Might as well bring Henderson back in.

Solid at the back, tenacious in midfield and a two flanked attack…with Scarpa pulling the strings and on set-pieces. That (imo) is a great side.
Hopefully we’ll see that side in 2 weeks time. If Ayew and Wood get anywhere near our starting XI we’ll go down.

Wolves game is massive.
As are the Leeds , Southampton and Palace ones.
Yeah it's football.
I wouldn't mind if we got relegation what concerns me is the amount of money spent.
It's obvious that some of the transfers were clearly not worth and we spent money as if it was going out of fashion.
Wouldn't have minded so much if we had got value for money.
Would Dyche have made a difference to our situation is my only question ?

We have two weeks to get players fit, I just hope that Jono hasn't aggravated his groin strain. I don't think Steve should have played him really.
