I’d go for ChatGBT instead

We've just got rid of a David Brent meme generator - that would be an upgrade....

I agree with all the comments but sometimes you just have to take a punt when the stars align as they have done today.

I think there's a fair chance of Potter taking a shot at managing us, he's tried to make the step up from our level and been found wanting. He's got zero chance of getting a top 6 job now.

Yes there's the chance of getting a relegation on his CV, but there's also the opportunity to get avoiding a relegation on his CV, and rebuilding a club. It would re-establish him as a solid Premiership manager for sure so he might just be tempted.

Oh - and there's also the draw of the wonga to consider!

Better act now if you do want him cos no force on earth gets between Levy & an ex-Chelsea manager

Interesting. Potter has hopped over Benitez to be favourite with the bookies - at evens, compared with around 3/1 for Rafa.

They aren't usually too far from the mark with their betting odds, although it might be due to a surge of LCFC supporters putting their money on Potter!

Leicester are certainly long term admirers of Potter but he has to be in it for the long haul and that includes relegation.

there are loads of potential jobs for potter, he'll wait until the summer.

I’m starting to agree. When you think about it why would he risk his career on a 10 game lottery at a basket case club when he can wait and see how the land lies in the summer.

The problem Leicester have now is they’ve gone from an appealing club to manage to a Leeds United or Burnley.

i'd be careful what you wish for OP. Potter doesn't have a clue what he's doing.

We aren't relegated yet. I agree there are downsides to joining Leicester but there are not loads of potential jobs for Potter which would suit him.

For Potter to get a job there has to be an opening. With 13 managers sacked this year from Premiership clubs that marketplace would appear to offer plenty of choice. However, apart from Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester there are not any vacancies at present. He's just been sacked from Chelsea. Is Levy daft enough to think he'd do a better job at a similar outfit (I suppose he has previous form with ex-Chelsea managers)? Which leaves us as the only realistic present job opportunity.

It's a good fit, he's proven himself at a similar size club, taking them from the lower reaches of the Premiership to challenging for a European place.

He has failed at managing a 'top six' club, so there is little chance of him picking up one of them (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Newcastle, Spurs).

He could wait of course for someone else to dump their manager, but why take the risk, he might not get another opportunity?

He could drop to the Championship but why would he do that in the context of this thread? He could go abroad again I suppose. How would he view either of these situations as other than a step down from managing a Premiership club?

I'm not saying there isn't anything in the rationale for him waiting, but there are some fairly strong reasons for him to take a job offer from us if we made one now.

We'll soon see I suppose. If our caretaker management team gets a win or two they might get until the end of the season.
