Football is becoming less and less a contact sport......any contact no matter how minimal a players are reacting and incidents like Morelos's non goal are happening.
FWIW......I thought we got away with one there......I couldn't see much wrong with it......

If you see it again you can see he shoves johnston as he goes for the header.
Puts him of balance. Thankfully var agreed with the ref as its a clear push on the player and something morelos gets away with normally.

If you're a Rangers fan it was never a foul, if you're a Celtic fan it was a clear foul. IMO it's one of those ones where they're both at it and you'd normally expect the referee to let it go. If it's to be pulled back for a foul then it should be for the first foul, which was the pull on Morelos's jersey and therefore penalty Rangers.
It wasn't the referee the cost is the game though, it was once again our tragic attempts at defending.

He stupidly gave the ref an easy decision. All fair in equal shoving and pulling each other, but the minute you place two hands on a defenders back and he goes over, it’s a foul all day long and that’s Morelos for you. Devoid of thinking.
Yes Starfelt went down as quick as a £20 a shot hookers drawers but it’s a foul nonetheless.

£20, really, where..?

I get the “both at it” thing, but when it results in a “goal” the referee will pretty much always give advantage to the defender and award the free kick.
Much in the same way as goalkeepers always get the call for anyone remotely near and challenging them.

This. Ref blew for it instantly as well. VAR was never overturning it.
Can understand why Beale was upset about it though … pretty unusual for VAR not to intervene on behalf of his team. As for his rant about our 2nd goal being “handball”, suggest he goes to SpecSavers AND also acquaints himself with the laws of the game. First, it didn’t hit Jota’s hand or arm. Second, even if it accidentally did, it’s still a goal under the current laws.

Yep spot on only the goalscorer cant use his arm.
As for the morelos foul yes both have each others shirt but then morelos pushes him in the back. The fact morelos is behind him yet the ball falls to him is only becuase he pushed him out the way. Otherwise johnston has a clear chance to head it clear.
Not even up for debate as 50 50 it was clear shove and var wouldnt have overruled it anyway

It worked for him in the LCF albeit never cost the game.

Another important stat, the gap between the overall Glasgow domestic honours is about to get much closer.
Standing at 113 v 116 Celtic v Rangers.
If Celtic hold it together for this season, and win a domestic treble, then next season Rangers will hold little trophy advantage. Gers will also be in a rebuilding season, you would give advantage to Celtic to overtake to lead in overall honours very soon.
