Hi there. This is Highlandwhite (peter) daughter Suzie, on behalf of my family and I we just want to thank each and everyone of you for your kind thoughts and words at this extremely difficult time. You all know leeds united was my dad's passion and he will be given a blue, white and yellow send off with "marching on together" being played when we say our final goodbye. Watch the page for Highlandwhytesgirl in the future it's likely to be my Daughter, my dads grandaughter 💙🤍💛

Hi Suzie,
One thing is that’s sure about all Leeds fans is that we are always bickering / disagreeing - but never saw your dad get involved in any of it. Kept it simple and no one has a bad word to say. His match threads will be missed.

Hi Suzie
I have to admit, I got a bit choked up when I saw your username.
I’ve met your dad and your mum when they came down to Leeds. I loved Peter, he was lovely. Will it be Charlotte logging on on occasion?
I’ll be thinking of you all tomorrow. Know we send our love.

I didn’t know your dad personally, Suzie, just on a ‘posting’ basis, but as other’s have said he always came across with charm, humour and dignity - and just as a great guy. It’s clear the affection everyone on here held for him. So sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you and your family.

Without Highland's "matchdays" all these years, this forum wouldn't have been the same.
Didn't know him in RL, but we are many on here, since the days of the old BBC 606. The user names have become like old familiar friends.
Highland will be missed. Very much.
We all send you our thoughts All the best

Hi Susie, I am sure there are many like me in far flung parts of the world who enjoyed your Dad’s gentle banter and irrepressible good humour. He always found a way to be optimistic even when the results were dreadful, and he never lost his head when all around him were losing theirs. This community can be a bit niggly at times, but your Dad helped us not too take things too seriously. I wish you and your family a time of peaceful reflection and wonderful memories. Best wishes from New Zealand, David

Hi Suzie
Your dad will be greatly missed on here, his matchday threads were synonymous for years on the Leeds board.
He was a hugely popular man

Suzie, your Dad, as been said by many, was one off the best posters on these boards, and I don't think I can say anymore than what most have already said!..
But I will say, he's one off the old school from the BBC board, and back then there was a thread where we all had a shot at eachother, but in a fun way, and it can be argued that your dad was one off the best when it came to the old "P" take and put you in your place in a fun sort off way!..
Like I said the other day, he always put Leeds first and will be remembered here for being the Gentleman he was!..
I wish you well at this sad time, take care off yourself and those around you, and remember, Peter will be around here for a long time to come!..
