£24.5m now owed to JKA

What an absolute disaster.

Will have cost the club the best part of £50m by the time it’s all added up.

£15.5m fee
£24.5m to player
? Loan fee
? Legal costs
? Wages while on loan

Worse than Seth Johnson, Kevin Nicholls, and Tomas Brolin put together

Spent 25 on Kev, 35 on Rutter and still end up with 3 goal Bamford. Someone up top (management) needs to go.

End up with Bamford, he's been here longer then both off them, strange one!..

Bamford has hit 50 for us, more than a lot off our strikers gone by!..

Orta's obsessed with wingers/hybrid wingers. As far
as I can tell, he's spent this much on the position in
an attempt to solidify the position over other positions:

150+ million

James - 25 million
Costa - 17 million
Raph - 17 million
Harrison - 11 million
Gnonto - 3.8 million
Sinisterra - 21 million
Summerville - Undisclosed
Aaronson - 25 million
Rutter - 35/40 million
(probably missed a few other names)

Palace invested 25+ million in these two:

Eze - 17 million
Olise - 9 million

Is Orta that good at spotting talent? Or is his
scatter gun approach giving the club a low
percentage hit rate that papers over the cracks?

Played 48 minutes for us…will be close to £1m per minute all said.

Thought he might be due his contract minus what he is getting elsewhere, as I would have thought he can only show a lose of earnings based on that amount rather than the whole thing. However that said there is form, originally I thought Stewart only got the difference between his contract and his current earnings but reading an article on it that says he got all his contract in full.

It's a utter and total mess by the club.

^^^^^

Aye, only took him 2,000 attempts to get there too.

Bamford is not a Prem striker.

Not that clear cut for me. We are forgetting Adams and Wober, not to mention players coming through the ranks, like Summerville, Greenwood (will be a significant player in the future, in my view), Gyabi and Perkins.
Also, it's to early to call on Aaronson and Rutter as they are barely out of their teens.
By all means criticise Orta for JKA, but you have to put it into context. I suspect his overall record is probably break even, but it tips in his favour, in my view, because he brought in Bielsa.

I think obviously Bielsa was a massive, massive win for him, at the end of the day getting out of the championship was the ultimate yard stick to measure any success against and with Bielsa that finally happened.

That was and is a great success, but for me on the transfer front I'm leaning more to it being overall a negative than a positive.

That said, I do find those who try to bash everything he does as funny, my personal favourite is those saying Gnonto doesn't count as a good signing cause it turns out he was actually too good and as a result got into the team quicker which somehow shows we didn't know he was going to be a good player and thus he can't be a good signing...

So you mean the strikers with less goals are better then the one with more?..

It don't matter who has the most shots, its who scores more!..

Bamf has been with us 5 years come July - at 50 goals, that averages at 10 goals a season for a principal striker. That’s poor by any measure.
