this season, and have not since the Chelsea game, but after attending the game yesterday at WHL and the absolutely disgusting behaviour of some of our so called supporters in booing a player coming onto the pitch, booing his every touch and then booing him off was simply something I could not comment on.
In my 63 plus years of attending WHL,I have to say this is this single worse thing I have witnessed for any player in a Spurs shirt. No player, however bad deserves the sort of abuse Sanchez got yesterday. It was totally uncalled for.
I was ashamed to have been at WHL yesterday. Even if Sanchez never plays for Spurs again, that booing was completely unwarranted.
Right that part of the article out of the way, now let`s get down to the real nitty gritty of the WHOLE TEAM, not just singling out individuals.
The whole team need to have a serious look at themselves. The defence and midfield are a complete joke as it stands, and I doubt Spurs will pick up more than three or four more points until the season ends, and eighth places now surely beckons, which would mean no European football for next season, which may not be such a bad thing, when it is obvious a complete rebuild is needed.
The entire defence that played yesterday, if that is what you can call it, needs completely scrapping. Starting with the three stooges, Dier, Romero and Lenglet. Absolutely two new proper CBs come in next season, where Spurs get them from God only knows, but it has to absolutely be a starting point. Dier and Lenglet are clearly not good enough, and Romero is so overrated by our fan base, he was partly culpable for the Bournemouth winner yesterday with his casual play. Keep, but just as a squad player.
Then you have the Chuckle Brothers Porro and Perisic neither can defend, especially Porro, who doesn`t offer much going forward either, and when fit Emerson will walk back into the side. Porro had a very, very poor game yesterday.
Moving onto midfield Pinky and Perky, PEH and Skipp. How weak is that partnership. Skipp will in my opinion never make it, and when Bentancur, Bissouma and hopefully another midfielder is purchased, then Skipp will be back to 4th/5th choice. Not really his fault, but he is clearly not at the required level. Championship player at best. Is it any wonder the creativity in the team is so woeful.
Up front Spurs are fine, Kulu is having a poor season, but Spurs still score plenty. Need now though to give Richarlison and Danjuma the rest of the season, especially if Kane is wanting out. He probably needs to step aside now and let those that will be at the club next season try to make their mark.
Managerial, is a complete mess. Laurel and Hardy, Stellini and Mason just do not look the part, and are absolutely not inspirational, even if they mean well. When Conte went, there was still a quarter of the season to play, so Levy should have had a new manager in mind to come in straight away, and at least see what he had for the last nine/ten games of the season to work for next season.
Anyway it is what it is, just a few games to go until the end of the season, and then reset with a complete rebuild for season 2023/24.

You do it now with Royal who is also a dreadful footballer despite having had a couple of recent games before he got injured that does not offset the amount of crap games he has had for us.
You argued with me about PEH and said "he always tries hard" now he is suddenly no good.
Sanchez was crap when we bought him and PEH has never been any good why did it take you so many years to agree with what most people saw immediately?

Very true, I remember our reaction to players struggling in the shadow of Greaves Mackay and co was to laugh and joke about them never to boo. Times have changed

I'm sure when Sanchez takes a look at his paycheck the boos don't bother him. Tickets aren't cheap people should be allowed to verbalise there frustration in a lawful manner.

No it didn't, don't tell lies. The team were booed, but no individual ever was booed, especially when he was coming onto the pitch.

Hojbjerg is a pretty good player. He's our midfield workaholic, never injured, always there.

Do we need new CBs...of course we do. The only good one, Romero is currently playing like he couldn't care less. He off at the end of the season I guess.
