Des deserves a lot of credit for holding his Manly team together over the last couple of years where most teams would of simply rolled over with all the board room back stabbing and internal rifts between owners, sacking of ex legends etc. Not only are Manly losing a great coach but Des is likely to take his back room men with him......how he and his off-sider's manage to keep a squad of 25 players playing fit nearly 100% of the time is not known but it is incredible how they have done it, hardly any knee or ankle injuries which has to come down to training exercise methods and not just good luck. If a team can keep it's best 17 on the paddock every week they will go close to winning the comp or be in a position to win it at least.
The Dogs have made themselves a great signing in Des and will see the benefits down the road eventually.....well done Dogs
