What's Top's Plan?

Given that relegation has been a racing certainty for several weeks, if not months, it is not unreasonable to expect the club's Board to have a robust plan in place to take us forward.

Which is why our captain's comments on the BBC website are so alarming but indicative of the malaise that has swept over the club in recent months:

Asked about his own future, Evans said: “I have loved my time here, an amazing five years. I said that to the boys inside, but the club has decisions to make and it is not the time [to speak about that].

"The club probably don’t know what they want to do. I had a brief chat with [chief executive] Jon Rudkin and I understand the club are in limbo with a lot of the situations".

That quote - the club probably don’t know what they want to do - sums up everything about Leicester City at the moment and is the reason why we are heading towards a few years in obscurity.

What's the betting, we don't get a new manager in place before July?

Latest statement. Interesting read but dreadful to hear about the ‘negative and abusive’ comments made to him/his family!!
It’s relegation, it hurts like hell but there is no need for that!!!!

That statement is a massive worry on a number of levels.

Pretty poor statement that, no accountability really and digging the fans out. Really?

No replacement for the DoF yet.

Not impressed with whatever idiotic troll chose to send abuse to Top, obviously completely unacceptable but not least because it gives him an easy out.

Our club and sadly our chairman have become an embarrassment.
Very worrying times ahead .

As I've just said on my article, the 'plan' at the moment seems to be to throw some mud at the fans and take some attention away from his own failings. There doesn't seem to be any plan for where we go from here, so it'll just end up being made up as they go along - like with the farcical manager hunt after Rodgers was sacked. It would be totally unforgivable if the club has now drawn up contingency plans for a worst case scenario that has been blatantly obvious for the entire season.

Tops plan is obvious as it has been all season.
Stick you head in sand, and hope that something turns up.
In meantime concentrate on horses, lifestyle and all things non football.
Take advice from proven hangers on who only have their own best interests at heart.

The plan is relatively simple. Firstly - they’re going to approach Potter. No seriously - Rudkin is convinced he’ll still come. Secondly - they’re going to sue Everton for £100m if they’re found guilty of breaching FFP.

And that’s pretty much it

I doubt whether Potter sees his future as being at a struggling Championship club in a dire financial situation, having just had a fire sale of all its best talent, with staggeringly inept owners/management who have overseen the fiasco we had last season.

He still has sufficient kudos banked to expect to pick up a managerial post at a bottom to mid-table Prem club.

The seeing Everton bit is interesting, I'd think there is some sort of case to answer if they're found guilty of breaching FFP.
