You’re the best 99, when Mystic Meg died, did she handover her powers to you?

I don’t know mate, I’m starting to think I’m the reincarnation of Nostradamus - it’s scary. I’m calling it now that we WONT get promoted straight away next season

What is brilliant though is scrolling through those articles and reading Mersey sticking up for Rudkin back in the day 😂😂😂 Ouch……..

Interesting going back, although if you had actually predicted what was going to happen under Brendan:
2019-20 (the season you started the thread) 5th and Europa League qualification;
2020-2021 5th, Europa league qualification and win FA Cup;
2021-2022 8th and semi-final of third level European competition;
2022-2023 slide leading to late panic sacking of Rodgers and relegation on last day.
I think most LCFC fans would have been content with that scenario. Not happy with the relegation of course, but accepting that as a trade off for three very successful seasons.
The alternative being presumably to sack Brendan there and then and roll the dice with another manager who would not have necessarily done as well or even prevented relegation?
I've never been very convinced about Rudkin, although obviously some good things have happened under his watch. I've been suspicious of someone who moved straight from youth team to DoF level without relevant experience being gained in between - his failings have become all too evident over the last couple of years with the contractual position the players have been allowed to get into.
One thing that did make me sad re-reading the posts is being reminded of a number of regular contributors who decided to quit the board - Arro, Dunge and Nev in particular. Also reminded me that JG stopped supporting Leicester in effect if I recall correctly?

Oh for the days of Nev and his camels, Arro and his view from a distance mixed in with the "ability to wind even his own reflection up", Dunge who just seemed to slip away quietly and of course JG who threw in the towel and is probably supporting some team in the Saudi league as we speak ( as he has inside knowledge of how big it will be).......

Yeah we’ve lost some cracking posters. Mind you. Ev was infuriating at times (remember his tirade against Kasper? Wonder what he thinks now!), Arro was legendary, Dunge was great - just vanished suddenly
