I know we have other priorities, GK and CF seemingly right now.

However we are forgetting, if we are to ship Maguire (and Jones), we are down to only Lindelof, Martinez and Verane at CB. Luke Shaw played well there at the expense of a decent LB which cost us last season. We're only ever an injury or two away from a crisis in this position.

There are a few deals going through for players who I think would've strengthened our defensive options, Pau Torres to Villa for £35m, Timber to Arsenal for a similar fee.

If Maguire is sold, I’d be tempted to take a punt on Bella-Kotchap who apparently has a £25 release clause

Had quite a serious hamstring injury in the friendly against Betis during the world cup, and just made his return for the U21s a couple of months ago.

Looked good on his return.

It'll be interesting to see how much of an impact Onana will have on those players closest to him but I think RB and RCB may still pose an issue for a few reasons some of which have been mentioned already. I think we're missing at least one more elite level progressive passer at the back to compensate for not really having one in midfield.
