Following in from this morning's story about Roma being interested in taking Greenwood on loan, I have just read a report originating from The Sun that Jose has been in touch with Greenwood's dad:
A source said: “Jose rang Mason’s dad and also spoke with Mason. He told him the best way out of his current situation is to start playing football — and that eventually all the hassle will fade away.
“Mason was pleased that he got in touch and it has lifted his spirits.
“He wants to get back playing and is just waiting for United to tell him what the future holds."
Do we think Jose would do this, or is it a complete fabrication? And if it is a complete fabrication, how do they get away with this?
The tabloids usually go down the 'close source' route when quoting some BS. However, in this instance they have claimed that a very famous manger has said something very specific about a sensitive subject. If Jose hasn't actually said this, would he have any legal recourse?

Seen some images of greenwood back training, so he will be playing this season whether it’s here or somewhere else.

My understanding is that he was training on a private pitch and not at the club. Could mean something. Or just that he is still suspended until the club completes its investigation/make a decision.

Ah right, seemed to have some coaches around him and it seemed a professional setting. But that would make sense.

It doesn’t matter how good Mason once was (there’s zero guarantee after two years out he’s gonna be any good).
There’s a line that people shouldn’t cross and anyone with standards shouldn’t want Mason back in a United shirt. You’ll probably only stop asking Mason to play for us once he turns 30.

It doesn’t matter how good Mason once was (there’s zero guarantee after two years out he’s gonna be any good).
There’s a line that people shouldn’t cross and anyone with standards shouldn’t want Mason back in a United shirt. You’ll probably only stop asking Mason to play for us once he turns 30.

Assuming that Mason doesn't report for training today as players start to return for pre-season, where does that leave him? Mad that over 4 months after the charges have been dropped, we still don't have any clarity on the situation. The club still hasn't announced any result from their investigation and we have no idea what is happening with him. I suppose if he doesn't return to training this week that is suggests he will not be part of the squad this season.
