Me either unfortunately but I wanted Gomez sold ages and would've happily let Matip follow him. It is what it is.

Midfield is more of a priority for me atm though.

That’s unfair, Pride. We can’t all have teams as easy as Arsenal

The game itself, and remembering its pre-season, first half, very positive; second half, much room for improvement.

Generally the Academy boys did as well as you would expect in the circs. Both young Doak and Scanlon certainly caught the eye; Gomes and Matip certainly didn’t.

Each are at or beyond their sell-by dates.

Diaz, Nunez, Salah, Gakpo Jota, all, all on fire and up for it.

I saw the recent posts on here on opinions for the next skipper.

Are people still judging friendly with regard to actual league competitive games

Crazy that we have not resolved any defensive issues from last season.
