They still went 43 years.

43 faaacking years and then it finally happens and all you get is a third rate Euro trophy that is just a stepping stone comp to the Europa league - let’s be honest, what’s the difference between that and the inter toto cup?

Still though, West Ham fans have been less bitter recently, a couple of generations have finally lost their virginity - so it’s been a good thing overall.

It winds me up that back in 2000 I knew about 2 Chelsea “fans” in real life, fast forward 10 years and a load of mugs were telling me they’ve been supporting them forever, used to sit in the cars behind the goal.
