England were the better team and had it not been for the weather in Manchester it would be 3-2. There is even an arguement England should've won the 1st match at Edgbaston had they not dropped all those catches

Been an amazing series
It’s rejuvenated test cricket
There’s millions of cricket fans around the world who would have been captivated watching the 5 matches
Cricket was the ultimate winner.

Spot on. I absolutely loved it. Have not watched test match for a while but right from forst test this was a pleasure to watch. Well played to both teams.

This happens every good ashes series. People are only interested in Australia Vs England (over here at least). I’ve always preferred test since I was a kid but just don’t have the time these days.

Aus were unlucky not to win more convincingly than they did tbh.
We won't be winning anything as long as we persist with Bazball
There's been 2 meaningful series since Bazball started and they failed in both.
The series in NZ, which we should have won but drew 1-1 instead after Ben Chokes enforced the follow-on. NZ haven't lost a series at home since early 2017, that would have been a fantastic win.
And of course now losing the Ashes at home.

Ben Chokes?? Lol This guy has won 2 World Cups, rejuvenated this England team who previously had 1 win in 17 tests not to mention the countless matches his won single handedly for England.

I could write an essay on why he deserves the name Chokes.
But to summarise, he’s a choker who has cost our team a lot more than he’s helped us win.
He’s also painfully overrated as a player in general. He’s meant to be some great all rounder but he can’t bowl on his one knee and can’t field well Even with the bat, his record is spotty (averages 35).

How many current allrounders have a batting average over 35? Shakib Al Hasan is the only one I can think of.

All the excuses in the world don't alter the fact Australia have won the urn. Australia were incredibly unlucky in the last Test that two lengthy rain breaks came just as they had two big partnerships building. Gave England bowlers a rest when they were going nowhere. Also the ball change, what's that all about? Happens far to much. That has to stop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They didn't win it you utter buffoon.
They retained it. That's a BIG difference, even you in your addled dotage should be able to work that out.

I for one just think that it has been a fabulous series. I believe they are two incredibly well-matched teams. Australia played extremely well too. I enjoyed the tactical and stylistic battles. I think England missed a trick in being extremely naive in the first two tests and could and maybe should have won one of them. But Australia only narrowly lost the fifth test too. Both teams rode their luck - both attacked and both come out with a huge amount of credit. Apart from Warne post 2005, this has actually been the most likeable Australian team I have ever witnessed.
