Expectations

1. Another Top 4 finish - All those years outside the lucrative Champions League has forced the club into an unsustainable run of annual losses in a bid to stay competitive. Especially important as more PL clubs receive massive financial backing and join the "super rich" clique.

2. A deep run in one of the Cups would be nice. Doesn't matter which.

That's pretty much it. Anything else after that would just be gravy.

Arsenal to beat a European big gun over two legs.

Have to be challenging again for the league. The squad has been strengthened and we've got experience of being in the mix so anything else would be disappointing.

Close the gap to city as much as we can in the league.

Try and knockout one of the big boys in the CL.

Try and win one of the domestic cups.

Man City have lost more quality than they have brought in. Unless they make some masterstroke signings over the next four weeks, I see them finishing third. The title battle will definitely be between Arsenal and Man Utd.

Can't say City are notably weaker then say United, of all teams, will finish above them. They are spending 70m on a kid to play unfront that has barely scored any goals.
Without him they are back to Martial up top....
I don't think any of Uniteds signings make them much better really. Certainly won't trouble City.

The CL after such a long while will make things tough for Arsenal. 3rd and a Cup would be a very good season, getting out of the CL group would be a bonus, achievable depending on who they draw.

We are in pot two for the draw, getting out the group is the minimum requirement. After that depending the draw we will see how far we go.

2nd place but really push City
