I remember being as excited about Bissouma's signing last summer as i was about Maddison's this year. But then, by and large, Conte refused to play him regularly.
I also thought Conte's public comments about Bissouma must have been really deflating and confidence sapping for the player.
I know it's only pre-season, but Bissouma has really showed his class and I think he's gonna be a very important component in our midfield and the way Ange wants to play in general.
I think it's going to feel like a new signing for us.I just hope he stays fit.

Biss looks amazing. For me, the 3 is bents, biss and madders. Until bents is back, id play sarr or hoijberg.
Lo celso…do not fall for his sh!t. He is the number one underachiever/flatters to deceive/crumbles when it matters/always injured/cares more about argentina. Even this pre season hes not looked anything special to me

No I think he has turned a corner for once. I'm a believer.

The way Biss was breaking their midfield line by dropping his shoulder and skipping through last night, was very impressive.

Ndombele is still the biggest disappointment. If he took himself seriously, Bissouma and Ndombele as options in the middle would be incredible.

He's too lazy. I thought he might be more keen to do some defensive work as long as it's higher up the pitch and about trying to win the ball back but it seems he's just not interested when he doesn't have the ball, regardless of where he is on the pitch. He might have got away with it 20 years ago but not any more. We have a high risk strategy with a high line so we can't allow opposition midfielders to have time on the ball to pick a pass over the top. You can't play a high line with passive players and he's the king of feckin' laziness.

Ndombele has zero future at WHL. Simply not up to it. Not one of the last four managers fancied him. Surely that tells you something. Completely lazy bastaaaaard.

i think that some players just dont have the personal desire to push themselves further than doing the basic minimum, they get a contract that basically sets them up for life " or so they think" and then just go through the motions

Hasn’t Ndombele been injured for most of pre-season?
Lo Celso has looked good, he looked very good out on loan, he’s in a system that suits him now and should do well for us.
Was hoping we’d replace PEH with JWP, but looking like he’s gonna go West Ham now.

I really, really wouldn't understand that move. Aside from his free kick abilities, he's a pretty ordinary midfielder that wouldn't get in there ahead of Bissouma, Bentancur, Gio or Maddison so I'm not sure what he'd be bought for. With Skipp and Sarr also on the books, we're well stocked in that area. We have far more pressing positions to cover and JWP I wouldn't mind betting, will be overpriced anyway.

Los celso was bought for an attacking progressive manager. A couple of months after that levy sacked that manager and hired three coaches who played some of the dullest anti football ever seen at whl.
I’d like to see what he can do under another front foot type of manager

be funny though wouldn't it, just to annoy West Ham.
