N’didi set to join Forest

Personal terms have been agreed and it now comes down to the two clubs negotiating a fee but a deal is expected to be done this week.

Personally I would drive him to the City Ground myself - he’s been consistently our worst performer for 18 months and his form was a big part in our relegation last season. BUT if Forest get the old Ndidi back to anywhere close to his best then it’s a good signing but as he is now he’s probably being signed as a cheaper option to others available

I’m not convinced he will ever get back to where he was - something mentally seems to have gone, to the point where he’s even giving the ball away in the championship. Still - for his first 3 years, he goes with my best wishes, he was excellent back in the day and the challenge for Forest will be how to rehabilitate him back to that level. If they do then they have a very good player

anything more than £5m is a robbery

Have to agree. He’s been our 2nd worst player after Vestergard, I don’t think we’ll get much for him these days. A few years ago and he was a £40m player

I don’t even think he adds anything to our squad, never mind the team. I can’t see any reason we would want this signing, we already have better players.
Speaks volumes when Fester fans would drive him to the WFCG, basically we are scraping the barrel, because none of our primary targets Sangare, Foufana don’t appear interested in signing.
Either sign somebody who offers something or don’t bother signing anyone at all, just get rid of some of our deadwood.

N'didi was a fantastic defensive midfielder, if Forest can get him back to that level then they will have a quality signing on their hands. I doubt he'll ever get to providing killer passes forward but as someone to win the ball and shut down opposition attacks he was really very good.

He doesn't fit into Enzo's system, he's being used as an attacking midfielder - which he decidedly isn’t- so could do with being moved on. He goes with my best wishes.

Yeah agree but he hasn’t been that player for almost 2 years. He was atrocious as a defensive midfielder last season - gave the ball away constantly and directly responsible for a number of goals we conceded. This isn’t a blip in form either - he just isn’t the same player he was 3 years ago.

I have to be honest, I was surprised Forest were interested. I expected Fenebache or somewhere like that, I just don’t think he can handle the PL anymore. 3 years ago he was terrific, winning most of his duals, tackles were through the roof, he was brilliant. If you ever get him back to that level then it’s money well spent but he’s honestly been so so poor for us that I can’t fathom why a PL side would take a gamble unless it’s just a cheap 4th or 5th option

How’s Winksy doing for you guys?

He’s been absolutely brilliant to be fair. Far too good for the championship, brilliant passer of the pall, intelligent, links up play and holds the midfield together really well, great signing

This definitely falls into the ‘Thanks for what you were but aren’t anymore, you were a beast but aren’t anymore’ moves IMO
He hasn’t been the same player for 18 months and trying to fit him into a new role this season to keep him has failed….. ship him out.
As 99 said I think a number of us would drive him to Nottingham just to make sure he goes.
If we can get £10m-£12m for him then I would snatch their hands off.
Thank you Wilf, you were brilliant to watch at your best but you aren’t that player anymore.

Forest with their 20 odd central midfielders looking at another guy who was good a while ago. Seems to be a theme.
