Was last season just good luck OP?

Not luck but something clearly has changed to the point we are not getting the same level of effort from the players. We just have the most toxic set up in the country. There is unrest in there, for whatever reason.

In many ways but not completely. Strong home base, strong defensive structure, previously unknown tactics poor all around teams. .

If we knew the defense was such a big issue why not make that the priority. Release that mug Maguire or pay him off, why is it always us who get into this kind of mess? And did we really need to get Onana now when the possession footy from back to front is actually non existent?!

I really don't get what aspect we've improved under Eth. It just seems like alot of our best moments are actually on the counter. When do we outplay anyone?

Lack of goals and conceded goals for fun spells bad news.

Let's see what Amrabat does in midfield, maybe drop Casemiro for a few games. But who comes in and solidifies central defence?!

Publicly blaming the players in aftermath interviews for not following his plan and the Sancho fiasco just doesn’t work, maybe he needs to be humble and say I got my tactics wrong every now and then but I don’t think humble is a Dutch trait.
Our away record is shocking and the 7-0 at the dippers was worth the sack on its own, I just can’t see things ending well and am dreading Wednesday.

I think he was quite lucky last season, I’ve said as much before. Pool were shiiiiit and chelsea even worse, that was fortunate for him, and some results we had no right to win based on performance, so for me some was luck some was ETH’s improvements.

You're on your 8th(?) manager post SAF. Maybe changing the manager isn't addressing the real problem?

I think whether ETH was in the right or not it will backfire, maybe today was the first sign of that, maybe it started even earlier. saf kept such matters private.

I really don't see a group of players who have bought into a particular style. Where is that style Eth is famous for, I have seen none, not even a glimpse. When Klopp started off at Liverpool you could see in patches what he was trying to instil, I see nothing like that from Eth. We can carry on blaming the players, and they do deserve our wrath but Eth deserves more for deceiving us, giving us false hope.

don’t you remember him taking the blame for Brentford? He sent Sancho away for weeks to get his head right.

I think he’s tried the soft approach, we jus have a bunch of arrogant, self entitled cry babies.

Most of those managers were sh!t though, to be fair. None of them good enough. The best one, Jose, also failed miserably at Spurs.

Ten hag is supposedly the best manager we've had since SAF, but many of his decisions are highly questionable at this level.

He's picked the players that have come in. He picks the team week in week out. He is supposed to be coaching the team.
The owners don't do/haven't done any of the above since he's been here.

How many times are we gonna blame the owners for poor performances on the pitch?
