Team for tonight

Hugely exciting evening for us tonight after 6 long years without CL football.

Obviously we have a huge game at the weekend and Arteta will no doubt have one eye on Spurs. That being said, this is a big game in itself and we can't afford to be dropping home points at this early stage in the campaign. It also provides a new challenge for Arteta, who you'd think will have to be more willing to utilise the full squad when games start to come in thick and fast.

How I'd line up this evening:

--------------- Ramsdale -------------------

White --- Saliba --- Kiwior ----Tomiyasu

-------------------- Rice ------------------------

------- Odegaard ----------- Havertz ---------

Saka ------------------------------ Trossard

----------------- Nketiah -----------------------

Rumours that Gabriel was struggling with Brazil and he looked a bit leggy towards the end of the Everton game. Would expect Zinchenko, Viera and Jesus to come back in for the Spurs game. If the game allows us, get Saka, Odegaard & Rice off as early as possible and wrap them in cotton wool until Sunday. Would also be nice to see ESR get some decent minutes too.

Honest question, do you think Arteta can afford to have one eye on the NLD?

I get thats a huge game but CL is where you want the team to be?

Is a bit of a dilemma to be fair

Too many changes, PSV are no mugs
Jesus should start, use the normal back 4, get the job done and sub if need be.

Tbf the Gabriel change was more a case of if he is struggling. If he's fully fit I'd expect him to start.

We’re not interested in the CL.

Think it’ll be pretty much whatever he thinks our strongest 11 is baring maybe 1 or 2 changes, especially if it’s fitness/injury related. I think he may want qualification pretty much secured first before he starts thinking about rotating too much in Europe. Plus it’s still early in the season, I don’t think he’ll see this game as a chance to rest players
