Is it me or do fans of other teams think the same ?
Yesterdays game between Chelsea and Arsenal showed up again, that goalkeepers seem to have a complete unawareness when it comes to controlling and kicking a football !
Is it only Spanish keepers ?
Spanish goalkeepers !

Don't forget who you are speaking to Biggish !
and the reason I wrote the article was because a Spanish friend mentioned that Sanchez, like Raya, like DDG, like Kepa, like Unai Simon, all seem to have this fault in their game ,.....according to him !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kepa was OK after a terrible start. His main problem is that he is not that tall and makes him vulnerable at set pieces but last season he was actually an excellent shot stopper for us and earned us points. He is not a good enough first choice keeper for a title challenging team, but sadly we are not that. I wish we had Kepa over Sanchez, he is a walking disaster.

Blimey, how tall are top keepers now? I just googled Kepa and he's 6ft 2.

Fun fact: Atlético Madrid goalkeeper José Francisco Molina made his international début for Spain playing as a left back.

most Spanish keepers seem to be schooled in the positional possessional footballing philosophy which involves the keeper trying to play out from the back no matter what
they do this more than most

Spanish keepers tend to be better at it than any other nation, excluding De Gea. Though, maybe Germany have overtaken them now.

Whenever I have watched Sanchez or Kepa or Simon or DDG, I've been wondering ,how long before a mistake happens !

When you take into consideration one of them was once a world record signing! Record signing with a multitude of flaws...
Kepa is the worst of the worst Spanish keepers at playing out -

(Bear in mind he was bought in as a supposed transformative ball-distributing specialist)
The worst of the worst saving long range shots -

Check out the other the other names on that list, two of them belong to one club!
No command of his area at the best or worst of times.
A liability, burden, scam signing with no outstanding or reedemable qualities worth keeping at the club...byproduct of giving power to a hopeless talent ID manager, who championed this type of fundementally flawed player.
(For context...Sarri scouted and endorsed Kepa, with the help / reference of Pepe Reina. Deemed him worthy paying a record fee).
Unmitigated disaster of epic porportions signing that doesn't exude any confidence into the defence.
That's the standard tolerated over a 5-year span and sample size.
No sane objective rational thinker should be content with that and thankfully his other half announced that he's never coming back - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F86TTyzWMAAw3Nb?format=jpg&name=large
