It's always been about the survival of the richest.

Obviously it's unpopular in some quarters when someone becomes richer than you.

That's bollox and you show your true colours. Real City fans went to matchs in League 1 not because they wanted trophies but because of their love and passion for their club and the game . They could not have dreamed what would happen and the decent ones still display that humility having been down low and have had the pure fortune to have been funded to the top.

Others like you lack any humility and have a inflated sense of importance, when actually City's biggest achievement in the last 15 years was to secure your current ownership.

Money can't buy everything. Many rich people look on jealousy at people who are poorer than them but have a natural family, truly precious possessions and memories instead of trumped up expensive counterfeits, true happiness and genuine achievements achieved without money. Things that no amount of money can ever buy.

Nobody has been more pro Abu Dhabi than Samuel. Anyone would think he's got some financial compensation for it. 😉

The article does exactly that. It is all pro the oil clubs.

I have no idea whether or not City broke the rules which were put in place for the express purpose of excluding them, but the root cause of spending these vast sums is the riches of the CL. It is the reason the clubs that were lucky enough to be in it when the CL TV deals started bringing in £££££ were desperate to exclude others, and equally why those others were desperate to gain entry. It explains why clubs would rather finish 4th than win the League Cup, or even FA Cup, regardless of the preference of fans. There is much wrong with football and a significant amount of the blame can be traced to the money available now. Or even in 1919 when Arsenal bought their way into the top flight. I'm not sure there is an answer but the way FFP is structured isn't it. Does anybody think the expansion of the CL or World Cup is for the good of the game? If there wasn't money in it for FIFA or UEFA it wouldn't happen.

Naive to even think city, or ANY of the other clubs haven’t broke the rules. I would be amazed if any PL club hasn’t. They are all corrupt to some degree. When that sort of money is involved, they don’t get left behind.
