I commented on an article the other day concerning DVB that I think players should either take pay cuts to play or be forced to stay, and I’d like to clarify my thoughts in a bit more detail.
Players have contracts and have every right to enforce them, but so do clubs. If a player isn’t playing and is unhappy and wants to leave then that’s fine, but the sacrifice for this should be you are no longer part of Man Utd and therefore no longer get Man Utd wages. If a player wants to play then they’ll accept this, if they don’t they’ll sit in the reserves.
Don’t get me wrong in the short term this will cost the club money, but I think it’ll help create the attitude shift we need at the club.
Take Sancho for example. He’s acted like a spoilt child but he does have a £300k a wee contract. For me, he either sits on his arris doing nothing and taking home the salary, or he goes abroad and accepts £100k a week. We absolutely should not be paying him £200k a week to go elsewhere as the precedent it sets it’s terrible and it essentially rewards bad attitude. He continues to get a huge salary and play football and so there are no consequences.
I know people won’t agree but these are my thoughts. The club needs much higher standards and I think we can start here.

How do you know this is what he has done? He has refused to apologise! This manager is no Ferguson or Pep to think he can just demand respect. Respect is earned. He has fallen out with Varane too.

So we can't be sure that Sancho has behaved unprofessionally, but you can say with apparent confidence that ETH has fallen out with Varane?

Tweeting that the manager has lied (which he has since deleted because it made him look like such a child) and then refusing to apologise (according to multiple sources) is throwing your toys out the pram.

Eth has got much wrong (Onana ffs) but the evidence we have (i.e on the pitch too) suggests he got sancho spot on.
