Back on the subject....it's probably a good thing if hot spot is dropped for a while. The recent series in England seemed to suggest that it wasn't always right and, although the primary aim of the UDRS is to avoid 'howlers', I think most people want correct decisions to be made most of the time, so if there's doubt about hotspot then I've no problem if they leave it out for now. Hawk-Eye seems to be pretty reliable, though (especially the red mat to see if the ball pitched outside leg or hit in line) so I'm disappointed they are not there....
I'm guessing the TV guys will have HotSpot still? Be interesting to see how often Hotspot and snicko disagree, though.....

"Then, just as at Lord’s, Sky TV‘s Snicko, which is not used as part of the Decision Review System, showed a clear nick from Laxman’s edge."
Enough said. Me thinks.
Then, just as at Lord’s, Sky TV‘s Snicko, which is not used as part of the Decision Review System, showed a clear nick from Laxman’s edge.
