For those that belittle Badiashile...
In-shape Badiashile wasn't a part of any heavy defeats last season.
In fact only narrowly lost twice by one-goal margin to Southampton & Brighton with him in the side.
Formidable well-rounded defensive displays and contributions from the then 21 year old, outperforming established old-timers Koulibaly & Silva (dealt with various different combinations in defence, individual consistency remained the same).
Considerable sample size.
Joined mid-season, instantaneously acclimatised and looked the part. Extremely impressive.
With hindsight should have been selected for Champions League squad over the calamitous Felix.

It's difficult to tell at this stage whether his form last season was a purple patch prior to having his weaknesses exposed, or whether his current spell is just bad form - add the fact that he was managed by lampard last season and Poch this season.
Obviously you will want to believe the latter, but the former may well be the case.
