Afternoon Reds
Was not surprised by the loss, was expecting a hiding so was well prepared. I think one of the issues that needs to be addressed is the culture and spirit of the team.
We obviously have some players that need to be shipped out but there are quite a few who are not ready for the fight, including senior players and the team needs open heart surgery like Ragnick suggested.
Like I've said on here a few times, we cannot get relegated now and need to start looking at some youngsters for the rest of the season as they'll have more fight in them than some senior players.
We need to spend this summer and we probably need 5 players that will go into the first 11. Undecided about the manager but would kill for someone like Simeone who manages to get his team up for a game.
I look at people like Marcus to provide leadership but he's clearly not a leader and the team needs to be built around younger and hungry players.
Long way to go to get back to the top but I'm really struggling to see, who in that team that played yesterday, should remain at the club as a starter apart from the kids and the keeper.

Culture of winning is set by the ownership, by DoF, then by the manager.
We have a quasi ownership structure with Jim hoping to own Utd outright at some point in the next few years. In the meantime, Jim will try and set the tone by assembling the best in class team to support Eth (for now).
Culture is not something you create overnight, it takes time with the right recruitment and general ethos.
