The three clubs who finished directly above us last season, all cheating, and overspent.

Time for compensation

Disgusting that yet another football club will screw over creditors, shed debt in an admin and just carry on. No wonder the gov are appointing a regulator.

Yes and got heavily punished 👍

Didnt spurs have highest debt of any club in early 80s at £5m ?

Oh and lets not forget, how spurs were saved from going bust by using stolen pension funds from Maxwell, which caused 10000s of hard working folk, years of Hardship.

The fact that we've experienced the very worst kind of financial mis-management makes us pretty good at spotting the worst offenders around us.

The most galling thing is that we got hammered down two divisions and had to hold a fire sale of our best and brightest players whilst wrecking any businesses that our owners chose to throw under the bus by means of administration.

Our fanbase suffered massively, not knowing if we would have a club at all at one point (at least).

Yes we are the gold standard at spotting financial mis-management of clubs as well as the pathetic penalties currently given to other clubs in comparison.

Not really seeing that way ref the teams above us, because regardless we had a poor team, a cr8p manager and totally deserved to be relegated. showed zero fight to even want to stay in the league.

one thing I don't get though, because the facts are, the 3 teams above us have cheated, why would we not be compensated somehow? - we must have had a huge loss in terms of income for being relegated?

another question, would the people on here that understand the finances of a football club say Leeds are well run now, in terms of FFP?

in comparison to what?

Football is different now. In the current PL era, clubs are not at risk of going into administration , they are just breaching PL financial rules.

The 2 are very different things.

Back in the day, Leeds spent 'wildly' without a wealthy backer and gambling on UCL revenues and continued success.

Despite Everton's sizable losses, they are not at risk of going into administration. Their football aspiration are being killed but there is little chance of them or Forest "Doing a Leeds"

Leicester have got away with murder! They have lost £215m over the last three seasons. Then relegation came and they kept most of their best players.

The EFL can’t seem to do anything that levels the playing field for the other clubs in the league. They should be docked points but won’t be until they go up and then benefit from a year in the PL with parachute payments to follow.

Scandalous!
