Broad is the better batsman, and is talked about as the team's enforcer, but finn takes more wickets.
personally, i'd go with finn.
who should play, Broad or Finn?

I'm not a big fan of either.
Broad will play, IMO.

I think Finn is similar but not currently as good as Tremlett - variation in bowling is a plus - so Broad for me - I actually like Broad and always rated him - my only issue is that he should not open the bowling.

I agree with Lydneyian, I think Broad should be in the XI but that he should be the first change seamer and that Tremlett shold open the bowling with Anderson. We have to remember that in the first two Tests against Sri Lanka that while Broad may not have been at his best, he was unlucky not to pick up a few more wickets and is still only two wickets behind Tremlett, although he has been much more expensive.
The guy is only like 24! He is gaining invaluable experience and the fact that he has been made T20 captain shows that the people who matter (Straussy and Flower) rate him very highly as one for the upcoming future.
He will come good, we'll all soon see.

i agree, actually. i certainly don't think broad shoould open the bowling. tremlett and anderson are the wicket takers and so they should open the bowling.

Drop Broad. Not good enough. Test bowling average in the high 30's is proof. I dont care if he can 'bat a bit', he's in the team mainly to take wickets.

Broad should keep his place for now but should lose the new ball, he needs to start showing his potential or he could be out the side when Bresnan gets fit. Having said that i'm still a fan of Broad
